The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Arkansas, eastern
Arkansas, and southeast Arkansas, including the following
areas, in central Arkansas, Faulkner, Grant, Lonoke, prairie,
Pulaski, Saline, and white. In eastern Arkansas, Jackson,
Monroe, and Woodruff. In southeast Arkansas, Arkansas,
Bradley, Cleveland, Desha, Drew, Jefferson, and Lincoln.

* From Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning

* several periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected
Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning. Two to four inches
of rainfall will be common in the watch area.

* Heavy rainfall, falling across saturated ground, will create
conditions favorable for flash flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
