Heat Advisory
Issued: 2:06 AM MDT Jun. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Heat advisory remains in effect until 7 PM MST this evening...

* impacts... unusually hot temperatures could result in heat
related illness for hikers and those who are exposed to the
heat for prolonged periods of time, even at elevations as high
as 7000 feet.

* Temperatures... highs in the mid to upper 90s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of unusually hot temperatures
is expected. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time
outside. When possible... reschedule strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting
clothing when possible and drink plenty of water.

The occupational safety and health administration recommends
these additional steps to reduce risk during outdoor work...
schedule frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned
environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool
and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency... call 911.
