... Red flag warning in effect from 11 PM this evening to 6 am PDT
Tuesday above 1500 feet...

The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a red flag
warning, which is in effect from 11 PM this evening to 6 am PDT
Tuesday.

* Affected area... fire weather zones 203 and 204 mainly above 1500
feet.

* Wind... northeast at 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph above 1500
feet.

* Humidity... recoveries tonight above 1500 feet will only be
around 30 to 40 percent. Monday afternoon rh will drop to 10 to
15 percent with poor recoveries again Monday night.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
