... Flash Flood Watch is cancelled...

The Flash Flood Watch for Kahoolawe, Lanai, Maui, Molokai and The
Big Island has been cancelled. A few heavier showers will be
possible today, but the threat of widespread flash flooding has
decreased.



339 PM HST Sat Oct 20 2018

... High surf advisory remains in effect until 6 PM HST Monday...

* surf... 8 to 12 feet through Sunday and 6 to 8 feet on Monday
along south facing shores of all islands.

* Timing... continuing through Sunday, then slowly diminishing on
Monday.

* Impacts... moderate... expect strong breaking waves, shore
break, and rip currents making swimming difficult and
dangerous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Beachgoers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by
ocean safety officials and exercise caution. Know your limits and
seek ocean recreation areas best suited for your abilities.
