... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST
Tuesday...

* what... freezing drizzle and freezing rain. The first round is
occurring now, with a second round expected late tonight into
morning Tuesday morning. There will be a lull between the two
events with very light freezing drizzle still possible this
afternoon and evening. Between one and two tenths of ice is
possible with this first round of freezing precipitation. Total
ice accumulations of up to two tenths with the two events.

* Where... portions of northern and western Iowa, mainly along
and west of a line from Hampton through Boone to Audubon.

* When... until noon CST Tuesday.

* Additional details... the ice will result in difficult travel
conditions, including during the morning commute today and
Tuesday. In addition to the dangerous travel conditions, gusty
north winds may cause ice coated trees and powerlines to break
and possibly fall, leading to the potential for power outages.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
