... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 am CDT this morning...

The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a dense fog
advisory, which is in effect until 10 am CDT this morning.

* Visibility... one quarter mile or less at times.

* Impacts... limited visibility will make for difficult travel at
times. In addition, some slick spots will be possible on roads
and bridges as their temperatures are near freezing.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

... Areas of dense fog possible tonight...

A mainly clear sky over eastern and parts of central Iowa along
with calm or light winds is fostering fog development early this
Sunday morning. Some areas of dense fog will be possible with
visibility under a quarter of a mile. If you encounter dense
fog, slow down and use low beam headlights or fog lights to
assist your visibility.
