Backcountry avalanche warning

Forest service Idaho Panhandle avalanche center relayed by National
Weather Service Spokane, Washington and Missoula Montana

The following message is transmitted at the request of the Forest
service Idaho Panhandle avalanche center

The Forest service Idaho Panhandle avalanche center in Sandpoint has
issued a backcountry avalanche warning.

* Timing in effect from 10 am MST this morning to 10 am PST
tomorrow.

* Affected area Selkirk/Cabinet mountain zone, Silver Valley/Lookout
Pass zone, kootenay/Cabinet Mt zone

* avalanche danger the avalanche danger will rise to high today and
into by tomorrow.

* Reason/impacts recent heavy snow combined with wind will create
widespread areas of unstable snow.

Precautionary / preparedness actions avalanches may run long
distances, into flat areas

Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended.

Similar avalanche danger may exist at locations outside the coverage
