Issued: 2:32 PM MST Feb. 23, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to
6 am MST Sunday above 6000 feet...

* what... snow and blowing snow expected. Plan on slippery Road
conditions. In addition, areas of poor visibility are expected.
Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches, with localized
amounts up to 14 inches, are expected. Below 6000 feet
elevation, expect snow fall of 2 to 5 inches.

* Where... Sawtooth Mountains and big and little Wood River region
counties. This includes the towns of Stanley and Clayton.

* When... from midnight tonight to 6 am MST Sunday.

* Additional details... winds gusting as high as 25 mph will
cause areas of blowing and drifting snow, especially over
mountain passes. Cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero will
cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means periods
of snow and blowing snow will cause primarily travel
difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited
visibilities, and use caution while driving. The latest Road
