The National Weather Service in Duluth MN has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
northwestern Pine County in east central Minnesota...

* until 215 PM CDT Wednesday

* at 148 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooding across Pine
County. Water continues to run high on The Kettle river and other
smaller streams across Pine County.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hinckley, Sandstone, Willow River, Askov, Rutledge, Bruno, Sturgeon
Lake, Finlayson, Kerrick, Denham, Duquette, Banning State Park,
Cloverdale, Chengwatana State Forest, and Saint Croix State Park.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Numerous roads are closed or have been washed away due to the
flooding. Please continue to heed all Road closures. For Road

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 730 am CDT Thursday for
southeastern Pine and Burnett counties...

At 1128 am CDT, emergency management reported flooding across parts
of Burnett and much of Pine counties, including Highway 35 and
Highway 77 in multiple locations and closing the Highway 48/77
bridge between Minnesota and Wisconsin as of late Tuesday morning.

At 1128 am CDT, the St Croix river at Grantsburg was at 13.39 feet
and is approaching the expected maximum crest. Waters may still rise
to near 14 feet late today into tomorrow.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Grantsburg, Trade Lake, Webster, Webb Lake Wisconsin, Danbury,
Cloverton, Duxbury, Branstad, Randall, Oakland, Falun, Phantom Lake,
Chengwatana State Forest, Kingsdale, Markville, Saint Croix State
Park, Four Corners, Alpha, Trade River, and Riverside.
