evening...
... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this evening
to 10 am CST Wednesday...

* what... snow occurring. Very low wind chills expected. Plan on
hazardous Road conditions. Additional snow accumulations of up
to one inch are expected. Expect wind chills in the single
digits.

* Where... portions of northeast Louisiana and central Mississippi.

* When... for the Winter Weather Advisory, until 6 PM today. For
the Wind Chill Advisory, 6 PM this evening to 10 am Wednesday.

* Additional details... look for reduced visibilities at times.
Long exposure to the low wind chills may cause frostbite to
exposed skin.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and
limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. The latest
Road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained
by calling 5 1 1.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will
combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can
occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.

As a dangerously cold Arctic airmass continues to move into the
region tonight, snow and ice accumulations will remain on
roadways, and lingering liquid will freeze quickly after sunset.
This will result in dangerous driving conditions across the area
as temperatures fall into the teens by Wednesday morning. If you
have plans to travel, check ahead to find out if roads are safe
along your Route. If icy conditions are being reported, stay off
roadways and limit travel to emergencies only.

... Hard freeze warning remains in effect until noon CST
Thursday...

* temperature... temperatures will remain below freezing through
Thursday morning in most locations. Overnight lows will be in
the teens both tonight and Wednesday night. Some locations
across the Highway 82 corridor may see overnight lows tonight in
the single digits. Afternoon highs on Wednesday are expected to
remain below freezing in most areas.

* Impacts... prolonged exposure could lead to hypothermia and may
harm pets and livestock. Exposed plumbing is in danger of
being damaged.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A hard freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are
imminent or highly likely. These conditions will be dangerous to
people and pets without adequate shelter and could damage exposed
pipes.
