Winter Weather Advisory, Wind Chill Advisory

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST
Tuesday...
... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM Tuesday to
10 am CST Wednesday...

* what... snow expected. Very cold wind chills expected. Plan on
difficult travel conditions, including during the morning
commute on Tuesday. Total snow accumulations of a half inch to
two inches are expected. Expect wind chills to fall into the
single digits.

* Where... portions of northeast Louisiana, central Mississippi,
east central Mississippi, north central Mississippi, northeast
Mississippi, southwest Mississippi and west central
Mississippi.

* When... for the Winter Weather Advisory, until 6 PM Tuesday.
For the Wind Chill Advisory, 6 PM Tuesday to 10 am Wednesday.

* Additional details... look for reduced visibilities at times.
The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30
minutes to exposed skin.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
The latest Road conditions for the state you are calling from can
be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will
combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can
occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.






Hard Freeze Warning
Issued: 9:00 PM CST Jan. 15, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Hard freeze warning remains in effect from 6 am Tuesday to
noon CST Thursday...

* temperature... temperatures will fall below freezing during the
day on Tuesday and should remain below freezing through
Thursday morning. Overnight lows will drop into the teens both
Tuesday night and Wednesday night. Afternoon highs on
Wednesday are expected to remain below freezing.

* Impacts... prolonged exposure could lead to hypothermia and may
harm pets and livestock. Exposed plumbing is in danger of
being damaged.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A hard freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are
imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and
other sensitive vegetation.
