Wind Chill Advisory
Issued: 4:40 AM MST Feb. 19, 2018 – National Weather Service

morning...
... Winter Weather Advisory will expire at 5 am MST early this
morning...

* what... very cold wind chills expected. Expect wind chills as
low as 30 below zero.

* Where... Jefferson and Broadwater.

* When... for the Winter Weather Advisory, at 5 am MST early this
morning. For the Wind Chill Advisory, until 11 am MST this
morning.

* Additional details... the cold wind chills could cause
frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will
combine to create low wind chills. Frostbite and hypothermia can
occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.






Areal Flood Warning
Issued: 4:40 PM MST Feb. 15, 2018 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Great Falls has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
an ice jam in...
central Broadwater County in southwestern Montana...

* until 915 PM MST Monday

* at 438 PM MST, emergency management reported continued flooding
along a Five Mile stretch of the Missouri River, impacting areas
west and north of Townsend. Areas currently experiencing flooding
include the Indian Road campground, areas around the fish wildlife
and Parks building, and some homes immediately adjacent to the
river. At this time, flood waters are not impacting US highways 12
and 287. Significant changes in water levels are not expected
through the weekend, but please stay tuned for later updates as
ice jam impacts can quickly change.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flooding is occurring. It is important to know where you are
relative to rivers, streams, or creeks in the area which can become
dangerous in flooding. Campers and hikers should avoid areas near
the Missouri River near Townsend.
