The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 6 am to noon EST Thursday.
* Winds... south to southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph.
* Timing... the strongest southerly winds are expected to occur
during Thursday morning ahead of a cold front.
* Impacts... strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power
lines. Some power outages are expected.
A Wind Advisory means that very windy conditions are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Light-weight outdoor objects
such as patio furniture and garbage cans should be secured.
