Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 1:46 PM PST Feb. 23, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 7 am Saturday to 7 am
PST Sunday...

* what... snow expected. Plan on slippery Road conditions. In
valleys, total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches the valleys,
with localized amounts up to 6 inches. In mountains, total snow
accumulations of 4 to 7 inches, with localized amounts up to 9
inches. In addition, westerly winds up to 25 mph could produce
blowing and drifting snow.

* Where... Humboldt County, northern Lander and northern Eureka
counties, and most of Elko County, with the exception of
southeast Elko County where lower snow amounts are expected.

* When... 7 am Saturday to 7 am Sunday. Greatest snowfall is expect
between late Saturday morning through Saturday evening.

* Additional details... be prepared for reduced visibilities at
times due to snowfall and blowing snow. The Interstate 80
corridor will be especially affected. Summits and passes will be
difficult to travel.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
