Monday evening for abundant lightning on dry fuels for fire weather
zones 285... 617... 623 and 624...

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Fire Weather
Watch... which is in effect from Sunday afternoon through Sunday
evening. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued from Monday
morning through Monday evening.

* Impacts: lightning and high fire danger will likely result in
new fire starts. Gusty thunderstorm winds could contribute to fire
spread. Despite rainfall, initial attack resources could be
overwhelmed and holdover fires are possible.

* Affected area:
   in northern CA... the Warner Mountains and southeastern part of
Modoc County in fire weather zone 285.
   In south central or... most of the Fremont-Winema National Forest
in fire weather zone 624 except the Klamath basin.
   In southwest or... eastern part of the Umpqua National Forest
including toketee in fire weather zone 617... and the Cascade
mountains from Highway 140 north including Crater Lake in fire
weather zone 623.

* Counties affected:
in northern CA... eastern Modoc.
In south central or... Klamath... Western Lake.
In southwest or... eastern Douglas... eastern Jackson.

* Thunderstorms: scattered thunderstorms with lightning activity
level of 3. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected with
these storms.

* One less spark, one less wildfire.
