* at 805 PM AST, at least one river gauge on the west end of the
island remains above flood stage. Any additional rain may cause
additional flooding in the warning area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Aguadilla, Aguada, Rincon, Moca, Anasco, Camuy, Quebradillas,
Hormigueros, San Sebastian, Las Marias, Cabo Rojo, Isabela,
Mayaguez, San German, Lajas, Hatillo, Puerto Real, La Playa,
Aceitunas and caban.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate Route.

... High rip current risk in effect through Monday morning...

The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a high rip
current risk, which is in effect through Monday morning.

* Location... the beaches of Condado, Ocean Park, Levittown, playa
caracoles, los tubos, Puerto Nuevo, Cerro Gordo, balneario
Dorado, crashboat, Penon Brusi, playa Jobos, tunel Guajataca,
Pico de Piedra, Sandy Beach, playa buye, Combate, playa
Ballena, Playita rosada, Punta Ventana, playa Ponce, and
culebrita are all in the high rip current risk area.

* Timing... through at least Monday morning.

* Impacts... strong rip currents are forecast for all of the Puerto
Rico coastline except for the far southeast tip. Dangerous high
surf and localized beach erosion are possible in the risk area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

There is a high risk of rip currents.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
