Areal Flood Warning

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
portions of Georgetown County in northeastern South Carolina...
portions of Horry County in northeastern South Carolina...

a Flood Warning has been issued for the low-lying areas along the
lower Waccamaw river.

* Until 1015 am EDT Saturday.

* Flood waters are expected to increase along the lower Waccamaw
river through the week. Emergency management has urged people to
evacuate in low-lying areas before flood waters reach high levels
in order to help protect your personal safety and that of first
responders.

The exact impacts along the Waccamaw, especially below Bucksport
to the Georgetown area are unknown. As a result, continue to
listen to the advice of local emergency officials.

Residents in these areas are also advised that some locations, even
those not predicted to flood, may become isolated due to flooded
roadways. Emergency vehicles may not be able to reach isolated
areas.
