... Fog developing over portions of northeastern Alabama and southern
middle Tennessee...

Fog is developing early this morning over portions of northeastern
Alabama and southern middle Tennessee. Satellite imagery indicates
the fog is spreading from areas near Athens through Huntsville,
Scottsboro and Fort Payne, northward into southern middle Tennessee,
including the Fayetteville, Lynchburg, and Winchester areas. The
visibility may fall to around one half mile in some locations through
about 4 am CDT. Roadways such as interstates 65 and 59 will be
affected, as will highways 231, 72 and 64. Expect rapidly changing
visibility conditions if traveling in these areas tonight.

offline...

NOAA Weather Radio station wwf-44, transmitting out of Fort Payne
on a frequency of 162.500 mhz, is off the air due to technical
issues. We have contacted technicians to fix the problem, and
have no expected time of resolution.

NOAA Weather Radio station wng-642, transmitting out of Arab on a
frequency of 162.525 mhz, is off the air due to technical issues.
We have contacted technicians to fix the problem, and have no
expected time of resolution.

During the outage, persons across the listening area can get
their weather information from other stations. They include:

For fort payne:
wng-554 out of Winchester, transmitting on 162.525 mhz.

For arab:
kih-20 out of Huntsville, transmitting on 162.400 mhz.

The latest weather information is also available at our website,
