* temperatures and heat index values... temperatures will reach 105
to 110 across western North Texas and southwest Oklahoma, with
heat index values of 105 to 110 across north central, central
and south central Oklahoma. Low temperatures will only fall into
the mid 70s to lower 80s at night.
* Timing... through Friday afternoon.
* Impacts... the heat and humidity may cause heat stress during
outdoor exertion or extended exposure.
A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned
stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
