High Surf Advisory
Issued: 2:23 AM PST Jan. 19, 2018 – National Weather Service

... High surf advisory remains in effect until noon PST today...

* waves... near 20 feet this morning, subsiding to 15 to 17 feet
this afternoon and tonight.

* Some affected locations... La Push, Westport, Ocean Shores,
Taholah.

* Timing... seas will slowly subside through tonight.

* Impacts... wave runup and beach erosion will continue through
this morning. Seas will contain a good deal of Driftwood and
logs, and beaches will remain dangerous through midday today.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area, producing localized beach erosion and
dangerous swimming conditions.
