Much warmer/Spring-like this week across the SE; Severe weather threat late week

Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 51 and it feels like 51. Highs will continue to range between 63 and 84 with lows between 46 and 61. There is a slight chance of rain tomorrow and Wednesday. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 49 and it feels like 49. Todays high is 83 with a low of 58. Tuesdays high is 84 with a slight chance of rain.

Now, for your Severe/Winter Weather Update for the Southeast Region. There could be a threat of severe weather around the 27th-31st and again around April 2nd-4th.

Now, for your Nationwide Severe Weather Outlook. The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has a (#1) Marginal Risk of severe weather tomorrow across parts of the Tennessee Valley and Southern Appalachians. Primary threats: damaging winds and large hail. An isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out. The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has a Day 5 (Friday/Saturday) 15% severe weather risk from a portion of Northeastern Texas, Southeastern Oklahoma, much of Arkansas, much of Louisiana, extreme Southwest Tennessee, and Western portion of MS. The Storm Prediction Center has a Day 6 (Saturday/Sunday) 15% severe weather risk from much of MS, parts of Northeast Louisiana, much of Alabama, Florida Panhandle, and parts of Western Georgia. This means there is a 15% chance of seeing severe weather within 25 miles of a point.

Now, for your tropical update. In the Western Pacific, no development is expected over the next 5 days. In the North Indian Ocean (Bay of Bengal), no development is expected over the next 5 days. In the North Indian Ocean (Arabian Sea), no development is expected over the next 5 days. In the Southern Hemisphere (South-West Indian Ocean), no development is expected over the next 5 days. In the Southern Hemisphere (Australian Region), no development is expected over the next 5 days. In the Southern Hemisphere (South Pacific), no development is expected over the next 5 days.
