We took a Thursday drive out to the desert to see how super the Super Bloom was. Seemed like a good reason to take a hooky day off from work ;-) I had no interest in fighting the weekend crowds that were reportedly massive.
Apparently, the blooms are attracting more than just people out to the desert! New desert critters ;-)

A tale of a lucky hummingbird.
Let's start with the good news - this morning Mr Anna's flew out the open door of his overnight abode and up into a tree to sort out his day.

While taking advantage of nice weekend weather, I was greeted by a venue of turkey vultures high up in a sycamore tree in the area I do volunteer gardening each Saturday morning.

First the Winter Solstice, then Christmas, then New Year's Eve and the year will be gone!
2016 has had some good times - some bad times. Over all, this family is ready for it to be done ;-) generally things are looking up (discounting whatever it is that is going on politically :P). We will need to make the best of what is coming.
Though WU has been a little challenging this year, as always, Wu friends are super and I wish all of you a happy an...
