I'm glad you and Abbey got in a good walk today. I guess this is one of the last stops I'll get to make here! Have a good day, see you over at the Ark or Flickr!

Glad you and Abbey are getting in some good walks, a sign of spring trying to show up is the towel off sessions from puddles of melting snow. We are so past the cold weather here now, sunny and 70s. You should be seeing that in a couple months?

Afternoon Tony, see in the Wpg. paper the first crest of the Red River is almost upon them, and the weather you have been reporting will a few more crests to come.

Farmers like the rain, but it should start cutting into the seeding time, the years we were out there a few occasions they were on the ground in first part of April, guess we will see. Have any luck with the Ark?

Hi again Tony! ~ Glad you took a look see at the new Ark and truly hope you'll become a member there. It's quite easy and there are more than enough of us who can help you set up even a better blog than the one you had here. Ylee's back from a short sabbatical and can help along with Rob (the creator and computer whiz of this new site) Sandiquiz or myself. If I can set up a blog there, I think just about anyone can. LOL!

I was over on Flickr earlier and saw your most recent discussion started concerning your "voices". I don't want to elaborate much of what I wrote there but do know that we are all behind you and totally supportive. Hope you will continue to post with us and keep us apprised. As I may have posted awhile ago, don't ever suffer in silence!! If it gets too bad, badger your doctor into getting you whatever help is needed. We don't ever want you to have a breakdown!!!

I'm still here till Sunday and now fairly daily on Flickr but mostly on the great new Ark. You should see Ylee's new expansive webcam blog! It shows up better there than there! I'll keep checking in here and with the other remaining WUBERS till Sunday. Stay in touch!!!

Hi Tony! ~ I think I'm pretty much settled into the new Ark over on Rob's site. Fortunately, my blog there closely resembles the one I have here so the pain of losing my access to my individual WU blog hopefully won't be as great.

What concerns me most, right now, is Wunderground vs. the National Weather Station's forecast for my city and region come Friday and Saturday. Supposedly, WU is predicting 5-8 inches of snow each day or accumulatively speaking, 10-16 inches!! The NWS, however is far more conservative and talking 3-5 inches on Friday alone due to rain mixing in. I hope the NWS is far more correct, this time, for our Governor of MA wasn't to happy with them when they forewarned a severe blizzard with over 2 ft of snow, a few weeks ago, and we ended up with nearly 1 ft. Hey, sometimes, it's better to be safe and sorry.

I've seen you posting occasionally over on Flickr and am wondering if you plan on staying just on that site or perhaps joining Ylee, Weatherwise, Sandiquiz, Robdahood, Calpoppy, Gardengrrl, etc., etc. and me over on the Ark? I'm unclear as to whether or not you decided to stick with just Flickr or allow Ylee to help you set up your webcam and blog over at the Ark. Hope you'll truly consider it.

If not, we are having a large blog party, as mentioned previously, on Sandiquiz's WU site April Fools Day around 3:00 pm our time. Since she's from England, we must account for the 5 hr or so time differential. In the meantime, I'm staying here till the stroke of midnight on Apr 2nd, for I fear that's when everything will go poof! Oh, oh, nostalgia's setting in again!

Mornin TONY, dreary weather wise, but seems to be getting a bit brighter outside, and the drizzle and snowflakes have stopped for the moment. Rain is something you don't need at spring thaw, see Wawenesa getting ready for possible problems.
Still looking around the Ark, will hopefully set up shop, still haven't found how to get a chance on the site, will keeping looking, have a good one.

Good Morning Tony! ~ It's another repeat of a cold, dank, semi-rainy day in Mass. with just a small shred of hope for warmer temps to temporarily arrive tomorrow. Of course, with these warmer temps comes more inclement weather alongside but, hey, who's going to nit pic over that? LOL!

I've gotten my medical authorization yesterday to follow up with my podiatrist on Thursday. It's only for one visit with this current medical insurer, but fortunately I get to swap over to my Medicare and supplemental insurance in a few weeks time. Then, I can pick and chose whomever without needing any doctor's referral or medical insurance authorizations to see a medical specialist whatsoever. Yeah! Fortunately, I've only had problems with my current INTERIM Mass. health insurer and not the one I had for some previous years.

I'm not sure if you've joined free membership to the new Ark as yet, but I have seen your many spectacular pics uploaded to Flickr! I just love the ones of a age old docked ferry boat and a locomotive train speeding down the track. Boy, each triggers such nostalgia for me dating back into the late 50's till mid-60's. Hope neither of us has to see the total end of those once wonderful modes of transportation .. eh?

P.S. In case you're curious, YLEE's taking the week off to attend some important matters and won't be returning online until Saturday night. If you're able and interested, WU's Sandiquiz is having a WU blog party this Sat. night (April Fools Day) as a big WU send off. We'd love to have you to join us on her WU site say around 2:00 pm in the afternoon? Sandi, as you know via Flickr, is from the U.K, and has a time zone difference of 6 hrs ahead of us here in the U.S. or 8:00 pm her time. It would be nice for those of us WU lingerers to converse through posts for some touches of nostalgia and, hopefully, plenty of laughs. We'll leave it to your own discretion. In the meantime, you know I'll still be here to the end or on Flickr or the new Ark. Catch ya again soon!

Mornin Tony, similar conditions in the Bay of Fundy this morning, snow early, getting ready to give us ice pellets or snow, the temp as to rise a bit to give us rain, and in between that is possibility of freezing rain, don't need that.

I have an account with ARK, haven't mind myself familiar with the site, but will have to get see if i can get around, will be quite a change when WU closes down, have been a faithful member for over eight years or so. Have a good one.

Hi Tony! ~ It's cold, raw and a mixed bag of rain and snow my way. Not the best of Fridays! I'm having to haggle with my interim medical insurer over getting a prior authorization from my primary care doctor's office so to see my podiatrist again. I suffered a stress-fracture in my left foot at Christmastime. My initial podiatry visit was under another medical insurer and only needed a quick referral. This Mass. health insurance co. is seemingly bamboozling people! Glad I'm about to receive my Medicare card soon, so I then can quickly subscribe for supplemental Medicare health insurance coverage and be free to pick and choose my docs or specialists, be fully covered without needing a referral from my PCP first and eliminate these endless needless aggravations right now.. Sorry for the rant. I just needed to get that off my chest today. Arrrghhh!!! LOL!

Hope continued better weather is felt up there in La Prairie today and that both you and lovely Queen are doing well.

Good Morning, Tony! Glad to learn that you're experiencing a perhaps milder day up there in La Prairie-land! It was a balmy 16F earlier this am when I awoke, the sun's now shining but our temps can't seem to get above the freezing mark! We could also be looking at a few more snow flakes (no accumulation) over the weekend but, signs of spring are, for now, indicated sometime toward the middle of next week. On the one hand, I can't wait till that prospect arrives but, on the other, it just reminds me that we'll be nearer to our WU blogs closing. Ya can't win this year!

Nevertheless, glad we can continue reporting to one another on the newer sites but it won't be the same (unless Rob's new Ark becomes fully functional with individualized blogs). He's getting there, though, slowly but surely.

Afternoon Tony, we have a storm headed our way, nice at the moment, 6C with very little wind, however cloud cover starting to make up and wind going to the N, have and cold overnight -12C, but seems to be getting out pretty quick, don't need it.

Have a good one.

Looking out the window here at a gray misty morning and almost 60f. Unfortunately, we were supposed to get some rain today - looks like it will not happen. This time of year, any bit of rain that falls is a good thing, odds increase that the next 6 months will see very little wet stuff. I hope you are getting out for some good walks with Abbey.

Hi Tony! ~ Well, we've returned to the "Ice Age" again, this morning, as it's downright freezing with blustering high winds posted! Sadly, the sunshine can't make a dent in all of this. Looks like we'll have to wait till sometime in April before we see any real signs of spring and, as we all know by now, I won't be able to report on that here but on the newer blogsites. I'm still emotionally wrestling with the thought of all these blogs disappearing soon. The new sites are good but don't provide me with as much creative license. Hopefully, in time, that will change for the better.

I guess we're in the same snowy, cold weathered boat for we, too, are freezing cold, but with high winds, with more light snow indicated for Friday and a few flakes possible for Sunday. Wish we could be swapping better weather reports with one another but that probably will have to be either on Flickr and/or the new Ark come April. Guess we're going to have to do our best to tough this out till then. Hope you're staying warm inside and will continue to bundle up when taking Abbey out for her daily walks!

Good Morning Tony. I am eating Vanilla flavored Cheerios this morning as I mis-read the label on some protein powder I buy and add to my cereal, milk etc. Um, not real great. Going to have to go back to store and read label very very carefully when I buy a new jar of protein powder.

Saw your note over on GrandManan's about your cold temps. Winter is still holding on for you two.

GG - 80s - hot = Was 75 plus here yesterday and was warm with sweater on. Always a surprise to walk out to the warmth when the house is so cool you need a sweater. Today has a bit of a chill but still mild in the fifties.

Have a good one, everyone!

Mornin Tony, doesn't like you fellas are going to get on the land early this spring, snow and cold just like to hang around the prairie, time to get into the spring mode. Locally temp still a bit cold, but nothing like you have, but if you talk to yourself you can believe that there is a few signs of spring about, but it take a long time talking to yourself.

Have a good one.

Quoting 35. plapman on Gardengrrl's blogsite:

Good morning GG. I'd like to find a cell phone that is just a phone. An impossible task. All the phones I've looked have all kinds of gadgets. Have a good day.

Hi Tony! I'll try and link you up to a website showing those types of cellphones designed for senior citizens who require total simplicity and ease of use.

Firstly, if you have a retail store in the area that provides Consumer Cellular cellphones and plans, you might want to check out their Doro PhoneEasy 626 Phone for seniors which is supposedly simply designed and easy to use.
.
Here's the link to the website to check out.

Link to Consumer Cellular's Doro PhoneEasy 626 Phone for seniors

I think the Jitterbug flip style phone would also be ideal for you as it's strictly a cellphone that, when flipped
up or open, shows very large numbers to dial. This phone has been around for awhile now.

I'd go with the $99 simpler flip phone on the right side of the page.

Link to website of Jitterbug flip phone for seniors.

Everything else I've seen is far more expensive and uses more bells and whistles. Hope these suggestions
help.

It's brightly sunny here today but too darn cold to be March 16th! We could see a few more inches of snow over
the weekend as well. Booo!

I saw your more recent picture of yourself posted on Flickr as well as the one of you and your wife and I must say
you both are an attractive couple. It is nice to put faces to names after all these years. Your wife has the same name as my younger sister so that won't be hard to forget, but she'll always be referred here and elsewhere as your beloved "Queen". I think, like you, she deserves that right and title.

Hope you're staying safe and warm up there as we are down here. Let's hope April will bring us far warmer and
brighter days ahead! Hope to continue posting here till things close and that you can be seen on both Flickr or
Robdahoods new Ark site. He's planning to create individual blogs like here in the near future so perhaps you,
Ylee and Rob can also devise a way for you to post your webcam there in the future? I'm not sure of what
configurations are involved but Rob seems to be working towards it. Would be grand to continue that great
feature and more!

HI Tony! ~ Seems we made it through Blizzard "Stella" intact but others in my vicinity ended up with power outages and some slight damage. At least, today the sun's been brightly shining but has now begun to sporadically hide behind the clouds. Our main street is amazingly barren of snow but the side streets still have a bit of ice and snow left to melt.

I guess some Northeastern coastal communities, like up in Maine, were also hard hit as my posted York, ME Nubble LIghthouse webcam, originating from a public internet site, is completely ghostlike and remains dated as of yesterday March 14th. Hope they'll be able to fix it so I can successfully transfer to it to another blog. Thankfully, it wasn't one that was uploaded onto WU, like my Dracut, MA cam, but to another viable website.

Temps seem rather chilly today at 27F and, as I scan our upcoming weather forecast for the weekend, I see about three more inches of snow to arrive on Sat. and three on Sunday. Ugh! Not the greatest of timing when spring's official arrival comes on Monday, Mar. 20th. I'm afraid that it will be many weeks till the spring season's finally able to fully catch up to normal around here.

Seems like it's time for me to drink a nice hot beverage and perhaps hibernate for awhile. LOL!

Mornin TONY, quite a storm it was, don't know if I had experienced anything quite like it, the wind gauge got a workout, and the rain right after a few inches of snow very unusual. Glad to see you are having a few signs of spring, not quite the situation around here, and more snow by the weekend.

The winding down of the blog is we all have to do, will miss the comments from people how drop by.

Have a good one.

Mornin Tony, a bit better weather wise this morning, just a teaser with a blizzard expected tomorrow, but the temp is on the rise and we are going to get snow and finish off with rain, spring team in the Maritimes.

You mention aches and pains I believe that calendar has something to do with that, just another sign we are getting older, have a good one.
