Today will bring increasing cloudiness this morning with the wind becoming southeast at 20 km/h (12 mph) gusting to 40 km/h (25 mph) late this afternoon. a high of 19C(66F) is expected. UV index 6 or high.
Tonight will see clearing with the southeast wind at 20 km/h (12 mph) gusting to 40 km/h (25 mph) and a low of 10C(50F).

The windstorm mentioned in yesterdays blog claimed one life. 2 gentlemen were fishing in a small 14 foot boat ,on lake Manitoba, and which overtopped by a wave and capsized. One of the gentleman managed to swim to shore but the other is still missing. The storm came up so quickly they never had a chance to bring the boat to shore before it struck.
The city is still cleaning up broken branches and downed trees some of which were uprooted.
I can't imagine how people survive hurricanes with winds much stronger than we experienced.
I got Abbey out on our walk along the gopher trails yesterday and didn't see any damage along our route.
