I have been a "weather geek" all of my life and living in the tropics since '79 has just made it more interesting. Great site for info and friends.

March 15, 2017: My last Blog here on WU. So sad.
I started posting here (got my handle) Aug 2005, started my first blog Dec 2005 and the rest is history.
Was hoping I would have more time but I have spent the past 3 weeks just saving the thousands of photos I have here that I did not have anyplace else.
Finally got it all done. I can breath now.
Tonight my nephew who has been living in France the past 8 yrs is finally coming back home to the USA. He had his adventure and did a lot of his bucket list, as if a kid in his 20s has a bucket list, but he always wanted to travel especially in Europe. And between his stint in the US Army, deployments in Iraq and other places, he has seen a lot of the world in his young life.
But now he is in early 30s and time to come back and settle down.
We are picking him up when he lands in Miami tonight, he will stay here about a week & visit his local cousins. We will probably go out on boat Sat, if it is not too windy, then Sunday a big family BBQ and pool party. He & I will head toward Mexico Beach, FL (panhandle) next Tue morning to go his brothers house (the one that is a Capt in USAF & tried to come see us every year on his vacation). I will stay there about a week, leaving hubby to fend for himself here at home.. my brother (the boys Dad) and my Dad, Papa Joe, are driving down to see the boys so I am going to stick around until they arrive to see them before heading back home.
So a busy time ahead. I've told many of you that you can find me on FB as
Patti Stribling Lauer.
many of you also have my personal email address
I don't want to lose touch.
Of course from time to time, especially during storm season you will see me Pop up on Dr Masters blog. And I will be coming back to check out radars and maps, etc.
It is so hard to say goodbye to this place that I have loved so dearly for nearly 12 years and have met so many wonderful friends.
You all take care and hope we reconnect again somewhere.
Now for the Maps:
