Oh fer cryin' out loud!

This is tantamount to watching a terminally ill loved one pass away.
You need to be there but it's really boring most of the time.
I've used up most of my 'Good-Bye' theme songs.
I'll be around till the bell tolls for me.
Won't dis Dr. Jeff Masters for stepping aside and letting this forum find it's way on:
"May the Long Time Sun
Shine upon you
All Love surround you
And the pure light within you
Guide your way on"

There was some magic here

I don't know what it was.
My daughter maintains a blog but I haven't been there for a while. Not because we don't love each other still.
So:
What made WU Blogs useful to us?
I'm guessing now:
The forum attracted people of a similar 'bent'
Cat 6 new entries needed to be read and the comments section there was always entertaining and sometimes informative - tended to crash when a real weather event was in process.

"It ain't over......."
Watching this going on has me 'of two minds':

I'm imagining I will always check out 'Cat 6' daily.
'TheTyee' went to Discus comments a while ago and I did register with them but forgot my password instantly.
Too many options nowadays.
FB, Flickr, Linkdin and texting are way beyond my level of tolerance.
In fact regular email is gett...

My last comment on my own blog got me to thinking that a list of essential tools for every household, vehicle or even back-pack would be of interest.
I assume that most folks have some idea of a 'preparedness kit';
Matches, flashlight, radio, spare batteries, knife and whatnot.
What I've been doing for many years is trying to equip a boat, a cabin, an RV, and my workshop with the essential tools.
Trust me:
If you try to carry everything you w...

Normal

By: ycd0108, 4:07 PM GMT on December 14, 2016

What is 'Normal'?
My Concise Collins Canadian Edition Dictionary defines 'Norm' (noun) as:
"Average level of achievement; rule or authoritative standard; model; standard type or pattern"
'Normal' (adjective) - ordinary; usual; conforming to type.
That's me to a T.
Except: there is no 'type' to conform to.
Sheared my full beard off down to stubble last night.
Today I'm thinking maybe I'll cut my hair too.
Maybe that's why thing...
